The Mojave Desert is located in the southeastern California. The desert gets less than five inches of rain every year. The summers there are very hot while the winters there are very cold. It is bordered by the Sierra Nevada’s and the San Gabrial-San Bernardo mountains. There are very few living plants in the desert.
One of the very few trees that lives in the desert is the Joshua-tree. The tree has adapted to the hot and dry weather and learned how to store its very little water that it gets. Another plant that is able to survive in the Mojave is the cactus. The cactus is a hollow small tree-like plant. Inside of the cactus it stores all of its water.
There is a camping ground in the Mojave desert. Lots of people just think that the Mojave Desert is just a desert. Indian tribes had once lived in the Mojave desert. But I think it’s not only just a desert it’s a very historical desert. So think twice before you say the Mojave Desert is Just a desert.
